Title : The White Tiger
Author : Aravind Adiga
If this would have been written in IITM it would have been named as "The White Deer."The story revolves around a village boy who goes on to become an entrepreneur. But his rise to glory had a dark route. The author brings out the darkness in the lives of poor all through the pages of the book. Some of the citations like
" The dreams of the poor and the dreams of the rich - they never overlap , do they ?
See the poor dream all their lives of getting enough to eat and looking like the rich . And
what do
the rich dream of ? Loosing weight and looking like the poor."
are really touching. So read the story of Balram Halwai : Servant, philosopher , entrepreneur and murdrer.
I quote here my favorite line from the book
" I was looking for the key for years
But the door was always open. "
